The Purple Carpet
Entering a mental health clinic to ask for help can feel intimidating. In these clinics, there are professionals who can talk with you, explain your symptoms, and listen to you. However, speaking with someone who has also experienced emotional dependency, sexual assault, or abuse — and who has already achieved the healing and recovery you are seeking — can offer a different perspective.
Support groups give you the opportunity to speak with someone who has gone through similar experiences. These individuals can support you through your recovery by listening to you and answering your questions based on their own experiences.
There are many support groups, but very few are bilingual. We offer bilingual support groups and can help you feel heard, understood, and accompanied throughout the process. It is easy to qualify — simply call us and share your situation. Participants must be at least 18 years old to attend these groups. You will then be notified of the next available session date.
We also implement a structured six-session educational program that provides prevention tools, emotional support, and referrals to resources for low-income women affected by domestic violence.
